Sequoia Spa is recruiting a Spa Facilities Supervisor to play a key role in ensuring our spa consistently reflects Sequoia brand standards while supporting the achievement of our operational objectives.

This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facilities team, maintaining exemplary presentation standards, and ensuring all pool safety procedures are strictly followed and accurately documented. The successful candidate will lead and inspire a high-performing team, helping to deliver an exceptional guest experience in a safe, clean, and beautifully maintained environment.

The Role

The Spa Facilities Supervisor will work closely with the Spa Manager and wider team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the spa. This role combines staff supervision, maintenance oversight, stock control, and guest interaction, requiring someone who is proactive, organised, and approachable, with a strong eye for detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Policy Compliance & Training
    Ensure all policies, procedures, and SOPs are consistently followed, delivering staff training as required and working in line with all company and Health & Safety policies.
  • Staff Management & Engagement
    Support the Spa Manager with recruitment, performance management, staff engagement, disciplinary processes, and timely performance reviews to maintain a motivated, professional team.
  • Spa Environment & Maintenance
    Maintain the spa’s physical environment by monitoring maintenance issues, carrying out regular pool testing and cleaning, ensuring correct use and care of pool equipment, and keeping all facilities and storage areas safe, clean, and well organised.
  • Cleaning Standards & Quality Checks
    Oversee adherence to cleaning schedules, conduct regular checks of all spa areas, and participate in PQIs to ensure consistently high standards of hygiene and presentation.
  • Stock & Inventory Management
    Manage stock control for amenities, linen, and replacements, including inventory counts, system administration, and timely ordering to ensure adequate supplies at all times.
  • Guest Experience & Stakeholder Coordination
    Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to plan shifts and prepare the spa for guests, handle guest requests and complaints professionally, and foster a safe, respectful, and positive working environment.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Clear conversational and written English
  • Ability to swim
  • Previous experience managing similar duties and responsibilities
  • Positive, flexible attitude with availability to work evenings and weekends

Desirable

  • National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or equivalent
  • Supervisory experience within a luxury spa, health club, or hospitality environment
  • A proactive, solution-driven approach, with a natural ability to anticipate needs, take ownership, and deliver warm, professional service that enhances the guest experience
